This was a gift for my husband. We are inn keepers of a relatively large property. The watch is always on his hip; easy to read, sturdy enough for the daily maintenance jobs that he must always perform - no more worry about wristbands, watch face getting scratched, etc.

Used most days, as work conditions too hot, dirty, rough for a wristwatch (for me to Stand wearing a wristwatch, that is).
Had it well over a year now, hundreds of Alarms, Light a little bit, still goin strong, re-synchronized Digital to Analog times once, otherwise time same as Aug. 2010.
This thing takes a heck of a beating! How many times I slipped off my belt forgetting the watch was clipped to it. Bam! GuardDog just says 'woof' and keeps on tickin.
Opening it hard at first, then realized just need to use thumb and side of index finger- thumb against metal, index against rubber casing, twist right open! Couldn't be easier, and 'no-eyes' too.
This thing is fantastic. Love the light, too.

This looks to be a tough watch for a metal working shop...but the overall design is artless and dumb.

The outside diameter (the white ring ) of the watchface is small in relation to the total outside diameter of the watch. The hour and minute hands are also small within said watchface. The ends of the hands are tipped in a dirty yellow color.

The only drawback is the fact that it has no leather pull on it to facilitate opening. If this was added, watch would be easier to open with gloves on.

I was expecting somewhat smaller like regular wrist watch but this is one size bigger. But I like it.

I can open it with one hand unlike the comment I read before I had ordered this.

Analog time is very easy to read but digital display is too small for my aging eye sight. Thus seemingly conflicting pros/cons above.

The only complaint I have is that the digital display shows time by default not date. I need to press a button to see the date. Why there is no option to show digital date by default? Dual time display may be handy for international travel but I seldom go overseas nowadays. It should be an option.

I just got this watch today, and I love it. I am a mechanic so I don't like to wear watches on my wrist and this watch is exactly what I was looking for. The watch delivers everything it promises in it's description.

I wear this everywhere but in the shop it's out of my way so it won't get damaged easily.

This watch does everything (if you can remember the right combination of buttons to push). I liked that it was backlit. The wad of unsightly foam protects it well, but I found it hard to open

This watch tries to please everyone. I did not find it practical. Why have both an analog face and a digital readout? There are many functions: stopwatch, chime. I especially liked the lighted dial (Let's see ... which buttons do I push to get the light?) The watch was well-protected, but hardly unassuming. The square foam block looks like packing material and it took two hands to open the thing.
