Hat looks good, and has a nice bill. But that's all.
I live in the mojave desert and this hat is not cool. Vents and hat cling to your head. No room for ventilation. I sweat like crazy when I wear this hat hiking. I would not buy again. I love Duluth Trading, but not this hat.
Might be good for winter treks. Good Luck.

I'm not too crazy about the shape of the cap. That is it clings to your skalp and I do prefer ball caps that have a hard "front" for lack of the proper terminology. The string that goes around the chin would be useful in high wind but I removed it and will probablycut the loops off that it goes through. Otherwise a nice hat to shade your face.
