This hot, little Swedish number will get you fired up
No, no we’re not trying to get you into hot water with the missus. But let’s say you’re in the woods and you need some hot water. That’s where this Fire-starting Tool comes in. Developed by the Swedish army for issue to their troops, it’s far more reliable than matches or lighters and able to ignite even when wet or cold. Simply drag the included striker or a knife blade down the length of the fire starter (it’s the opposite of the pushing motion you are used to making when sharpening a knife on a stone). The harder you push down as you drag the more sparks you produce. The sparks blaze off at 5,500 º F for fast, surefire starting on paper, dry grass, charcoal or bark. Lasts up to 3000 uses – you’ll be getting lit for a long time to come. It’s even approved by the International Survival Instructors Association. Made in Sweden.
