At first we wondered how much use the gloves would be, since you normally don't wear gloves even when rock climbing. There was plenty of use, however. The briars and thorns in this area were particularly rough, and grew everywhere. They cut our arms to ribbons- but with the gloves we could simply grab them and pull them aside. A lot of work chopping wood, climbing, carrying gear, normally provides you with a new abundance of blisters. The gloves saved us here too. If we fell or slid down a hill while wearing the gloves, our hands would come out unscathed (even if our forearms weren't so lucky). To prove our confidence in these gloves, we even got video of me grabbing ahold of glowing embers from our campfire wearing them. The fact that I am able to type this review now should tell you that the gloves protected my hands very well. In fact the gloves were mainly just dirty afterwards. The gloves were also very dextrous- we were able to use all of our tools/equipment and even do some shooting without the gloves "getting in the way."

I'm a stagehand, and I do hard and heavy work building stages, sets, installing lighting, and various other jobs related to the entertainment industry. I need tough, DURABLE gloves to protect me from sharp edges, splinters, hot lights, etc. While these gloves provide very good grip and pretty good insulation, a major selling point to me was the Kevlar stitching, supposedly much better than ordinary gloves. But I found that the Kevlar is no better than any other stitching. A good quality pigskin or cowhide leather is much more durable than, although not as flexible as these gloves. The Kevlar wears out, and the anti-slip material comes loose. Loose edges get caught and cause further separation. Also, the places where there is no anti-slip material wear out pretty quickly. I would recommend with caveats.

Just did a roof job and these gloves are really very good. they did not rip at all and protected my hands perfectly. best gloves i have ever used.

Got these to replace a pair for the likes of me can't remember where I got my other pair.
These turned out to be just a perfect replacement!
One problem is that I ordered wrong size (too big).
But next time will order one size down.

I work in Landscaping/grounds maintenance and destroyed these gloves in about a month. That's not really a knock on the gloves though as I don't really feel that moderate to heavy duty landscaping work is what these gloves were designed for.

They're very nice for home improvement jobs and light construction type work. That's where they really shine.
