The apartment I live in has a lot of glass, including two sliding glass doors, that tends to let the cold in on late fall and winter nights, particularly along the floor. My feet were very cold even wearing thick outdoorsman socks and lined slippers. I got these socks to see if they could help, and they do tremendously. Having sensitive skin, I had to avoid most wool products in the past, but thought I'd give these a try since Duluth described them as not causing itching. The merino wool must make a difference since my skin has not been irritated in the slightest. In summary, these socks are great since they keep my feet very warm without sweating and do not itch at all. I highly recommend them.

I wear these socks every day in my high top shoes and my boots. I love the over-the-calf fit that keeps them from drooping and sagging around my ankles. I've not been able to find another sock like this that is thick and over-the-calf. For everyday use, i could not be more pleased.

My husband has a pair of tall, hunting-style boots for our snowy winters. It's been hard to find a tall, warm sock that doesn't slip down. These are perfect. Plan to buy a few more pairs.

Bought these for my husband. He cuts a lot of firewood and wears rubber boots over his work boots while out in the woods. The rubber boots would chafe and cut his legs...not with these socks! He searches these out, saying he didn't know socks could be so great.

The socks were just great on the cold chicago windy days. One problem was in washing. They got stuck to the velcro on my cargo pants and it pulled the threads out from the body of the sock. It looks like the sock needs a haircut, but they still are okay to wear. I only made that mistake once. They are the best value in a REAL merino wool sock I could find anywhere from anyone. Highly recommend them.
