Comments about Men's Chopper's Mitts:
These were warm comfortable gloves and worked well in our cold climate for shoveling, but when they got wet they shrank. Too small to wear now. I'm very disappointed.

Comments about Men's Chopper's Mitts:
My experience with "choppers" began while working on the docks in the early 70's. I was visiting friends in the Duluth area, around Thanksgiving. The proverbial ships came in and we had an opportunity to earn much needed cash as extras on the docks. Our freinds not only informed us of the opportunity but also outfitted us with Army surplus long underwear and true classic choppers.
These choppers were not fleece lined but had black and white wool mittens inserted within the deerskin mitten. Because the mitten is removable and washable the value of the product is highly enhanced. I continue to use both the long underwear and the choppers with wool liners. It has become increasingly difficult to find replacements for these products. I hope that you can help me.

Comments about Men's Chopper's Mitts:
Stitching needs to be heavier. The stitching on one of my choppers pulled loose, I will return to DTC.

Comments about Men's Chopper's Mitts:
Having read the review from the catalog, I had thought these mittens would serve me well during the cold weather months in Chicago. I was wrong. I attempted to use these mittens while shoveling snow in 15 degree temperature (zero windchill) and had cold hands in a matter of minutes. The lining is very thin and does not insulate well against the cold. I have since returned them and would not recommend them to a friend.

Comments about Men's Chopper's Mitts:
Like a previous reviewer, I used these mittens to shovel snow in 10 degree temperature (zero windchill) and my hands were cold within minutes of being outside. The leather is nice and supple but the lining is what you'd expect from a cheap retail store, certainly not from a true outdoorsman retailer like Duluth. Perhaps these mittens were better made in the U.S. back when the description says you could find them at [...] The current versions, however, are made in China (and the quality shows.) I will be returning these mittens and would not recommend them to a friend.
