This is a fine looking portfolio with plenty of space for a standard legal pad, business cards & a couple pens or pencils. It also has a zippered compartment that I've found to be perfect for a small checkbook & a receipt envelope. There's an outer pocket that accomodates a few file folders as well.

The quality seems good, though I've only had it for a few weeks & can't attest to its durability.

The downside is, as other reviewers have mentioned, the cheap calculator that's permanently affixed to the inside of the portfolio. It's all but useless to me, as I use construction calculators in my line of work. I would have preferred a spot for my own calculator or even just a simple pocket to hold other writing supplies.

In my opinion, the biggest drawback to the product is that it's made in China, like many other Duluth Trading products these days.

I'll refrain from getting on my soapbox about this issue, but suffice it to say I'd gladly pay more for an item that was produced in the U.S.A., or at least a fair trade country. At the pricepoint this normally sells at (upwards of $60), I find it hard to believe Duluth couldn't make a fair profit on it even if it were made domestically.

Sorry Duluth, but my company has a keen interest in supporting products that are made in the U.S., so we'll not be purchasing goods of yours that you import from China.

Duluth almost always delivers here (no pun intended). They're a fine company to deal with, as they ship promptly & generally have excellent customer service.

The ONLY negative comment I have is that I wish it had a few more pen/pencil holders. I need to carry multiple color pens and mechanical pencils.

The built-in calculator is handy, as well as zippered pockets for various papers.

I had always used a Day-Timer Portfolio in the past. They don't make the one I had anymore which was all distressed leather. I ordered a different style and can't stand it. This one is the closest I could find to suit my prupose. I'm out on building sites doing interior & exterior trim takeoffs and needed something that would take the abuse. This one fits the bill and I highly recommend it.

I bought this when I started a new job. As a Safety Officer I needed something to take on rounds. It is a great piece of equipment and looks very professional. It is well organized and just the right size.

The only reason it did not get a 5 star is the color is lighter than the drawing and the sides are to flexible. I will replace the writing pad with a stronger backing and it will be perfect.

The portfolio is first class. The calculator that is included is junk. Had mine replaced once by Duluth and the second one does not work either. Upgrade the calculator or get rid of it.

Great looking and very good quality. However unless you are writing on a flat service you will find the backing to be a little weak. For those of us who must at the same time hold the portfolio and write It is somewhat difficult. I replaced the standard paper pad with one that had a stronger backing. This made a marked improvement.

Very useful, even the bag it comes in is handy.
I've used it for arguing speeding tickets (successfully), and for Bible study. It's useful and convenient wherever you need a portfolio -- this one is extra nice and flexible.

This is my go to item for school, and I've never been so organized. And to top that, it won't fall apart in less than 5 weeks. I can see myself with this for years to come.
