I work construction, it drives me nuts always pulling up my pants. These suspenders solved that problem. I tried other suspenders (the ones that attach at 4 points on the pants) and I always had the latches coming undone. This has not been a problem with the side clip suspenders, the latch is strong and since it is at your side, tends not to get hooked on equipment or things being picked up. Alot of people think there is no need to use a belt with suspenders, I think a belt (especially a used work belt) keeps the strong latching clips from eventually tearing your pants. I know alot of old woodsman who swear by suspenders and hate the binding feeling of using a belt, but the suspenders in conjunction with a belt means the belt doesn't have to be so tight it is constrictive. (And I still have someplace to hold my sheath knife) Thanks Duluth

Because I am overweight the suspenders do not hold my pants up as well as regular suspenders. I will still use them but must watch as my pants ride down in front. I think a thinner person would enjoy them much more.

I am in law enforcement and wear a duty belt that was becoming painful on my hips due to the weight. With these suspenders attached to the belt the weight is transferred to my shoulders and relieves the pain. Other Officers have purchased these suspenders and are equally satisfied. I would suggest a more substantial clasp.

I have several pair of work suspenders with 4 clips,they are ok,but no comparison to these. The 4 clips carry the weight on the shoulders. These 2 clips carry the weight on your hips. Similar to what a backpack does with a waist belt. I have lower back problems and the improvement of weight redistribution is immediate.

I have to double over the fabric where I attach the clip. Without doing so, the clip tends to slip off. The clips are super heavy duty. It seems that a slight change to the clip/fastener part would solve this issue.
I also found attaching the clip about an inch behind the side seam gave me better support in front and back.

The side clip suspenders are GREAT! Without the usual stretch and bind of traditional suspenders they are very comfortable. Bought a pair for myself and my Father and both of us love them along with the Force Nine Pants. From snow shoveling (live in the U.P of Michigan eh) to out in the woods hunting Wabbits, er, Rabbits they really hold up (no pun intended).
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm an HVAC tech and I carry several items on my belt for troubleshooting & performing my job. A co-worker owns these suspenders so although I never used suspenders, I asked him about how they felt and effectiveness. I was having to re- adjust my belt whenever I climbed up a ladder. So I decided to try them and now I don't work without them. I also like the fact that there are only 2 clips to deal with.
