Jacket advertised as being warm to 20 degrees F. without additional insulation. I found this not to be the case during firearms range qualification mid April in upstate NY. Ambient temperature approximately 42 degrees with gusting wind. I have high tolerance to cold,but found myself barely warm enough even while actively moving-wearing medium weight synthetic shirt underneath,wool cap,& neoprene shooting gloves as accessories. Turned the wind & intermittent rain nicely,but definitely needed supplementary insulation for adequate comfort.

I love the jacket. I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews. NOT TRUE in my case. I love the jacket and it fits great. It's really nice for a non-bulky and lightweight jacket. I love the pockets.

Excellent quality construction and material. Excellent wind proofing. However some of the comments on the garments warmth have to be from people whom primarily use the garment to go from front door to car door. By itself the garment would be comfortable into the 40's. The lower end of the sleeves are so narrow it makes it difficult to slip it on over a fleece for layering where its real utility is. I would give up a pocket or two for a little more insulation and more material in the bottom of the sleeves.

the jacket deserves a much heavier brass zipper. Existing zipper is very light duty. Jacket should also have button flap.

I thought I was going to love this coat, but I don't. The way the coat is built allows flexible arm movement (great), but the sleeves are way too tight (great-not). I wear a size 42 coat and ordered a large and there definitely not enough room in the sleeves for another layer. I love the pockets, though. Maybe I'll like it more in the spring.

I am a salesman and needed a coat that would be good for car travel. Works great. Was surprised as to how warm it was when walking to sales calls in NYC (out all day except for subways). It is now my main go to coat for winter. Great for working outdoors. We just got hit a week ago with close to 2ft of snow and I used this coat as my snow blow coat. Very warm and dry as snow was very wet. Sitting around I would say layering needed once you get down to 20s. Blocks wind perfectly. Could use a draw sting at waist to stop air flow up the coat. Real disappointment are the pockets. Many in number but most too small for any real use. Good purchase.

Bought jacket with some reservations...it blew me away how well it was made, outside every day, all day surveying...with a fleece jacket under it was good to 0 degrees, and in the summer with the vents open and half zipped was appropriate up to 60 degrees :) pockets all over allowed me to carry everything I needed and then some...Great jacket/coat! :)

I don't have large hands for my size, The cuffs could be a tad larger for easier removal, especially with the velcro straps for adjustment
