I bought these pants to use as overpants while motorcycling in the rain. On a trail ride in wet rainy conditions, I wore them over shorts. It wasn't until I was standing in a three foot deep glacial fed stream that I realized my legs weren't getting cold. I had completely submerged them and they were wet throughout, but my legs stayed warm. Back on the bike they didn't get clammy. Even though they were still wet when I was riding back home on the highway in high 60 degree temps I never felt a chill through those pants.

Pretty good pants. Not the toughest fabric. They will rip & tear. But then again, most guys are not going to be tackling anybody and/or wrestling on concrete. The weak point has to be that little belt. Why even have it? It's useless. Maybe a heavy duty buckle or clasp closure & adjustable tabs on the sides would be better. Or better yet, just give us belt loops so that we can wear a regular belt. They are made for those weird suspenders that fit like a "man-bra", and if you do own some of those weird suspenders, then they fit just right. In my line of work, the suspenders are a bad idea. It just gives the bad guys you're fighting with, something for them to grab onto. These are pretty good to keep in your saddlebag in case you ride into bad weather. Although they are bulky and don't compress very well for storage, it's a trade-off for staying dry and warm.

I have been wanting to try these pants for a while but the reduced price finally convinced me to purchase. They are just what I need to manage my field staff during severe weather situations. The fleece lining allows the cargo pant to be used in place of pants.

I bought a pair at Christmas and another pair in February when they came on sale. I have not worn them in extremely cold weather. In 20 degree weather with another pair of jeans or long underwear underneath they are warm and comfortable enough for an all day atv ride. There are plenty of pockets for wallet, mp3 player, camera and other essentials. I'm waiting to test them in wet conditions. They will be my go-to pants for atv riding this year. I like the option of 2 inseam lengths. I'm vertically challenged and most atv pants are too long and drag in the mud or dirt. I just washed them for the first time and am anxious to see how they held up.

I liked mine so well I bought 3 more pairs to outfit my family. We have been wearing them frequently in Estonia this winter. It's been either cold (-20C) or damp and snowing at just below freezing. The pants work in both conditions.

I've used them for late, late fall motorcycle rides in Upstate New York and for plowing and blowing snow. Plenty of warmth for walking behind the snowblower and not too warm when I get in the truck to plow. Great on the bike, too: just the right amount of wind protection when the temperature is in the 40's and you want to squeeze in a ride.

In winter I wear fleece pants and shirts around the house. Bought these to go over fleece pants when going outside for chores, getting the mail and newspaper. They work well at stopping the wind. The product description says that they can be worn over regular wear or by themselves. Even with the microfleece lining, don't believe they would be that effective by themselves as there is a hint of coolness against the skin.

I knew I was going to love these pants when I realized I'd just spent 30 minutes bent down, knees on the ground, working under the truck in 3 inches of a melting slushy combination of snow and ice, and my legs were still warm, dry, and comfortable.

The pockets are great, the pass through pockets actually line up and work correctly (unlike other pants I've tried with pass through pockets).

These pants are tough and have taken a beating and you can't tell.

I have used these pants with and without a secondary layer under. My son and i hike with our lab on the weekends in the rain, cold, and snow. Form fits function. I found what i have been looking for with these versital pants. Thanks again
