Wish earflaps were 1/2" longer( I have long ears)

This is my second review of this hat. This is my first full winter season with this cap. So far so good. This hat has kept my head warm and dry through one of the harshest winters in recent memory. I spent the last 3 days cleaning up after a massive ice storm. This hat came through in aces.

I bought this hat for my dad who is a WWII veteran. He is very particular about anything that he wears particularly his hats as he is hard to fit. He also is a stickler for good quality. He loves this hat! If it can meet his approval, it's good quality.

I wear it for commuting / driving around town on the coldest days. It's a great hat - the brim is nice to keep snow or rain off your glasses / and face. Keeps you quite warm, yet seems to breathe also. The flip down part is good - it looks slightly less goofy when you flip it up (at least I think so). The only down side is that it looks a little goofy. If you're cool with looking like a hunter, it's just fine.

Haven't been satisfied with most winter caps that I have bought. Outside earflaps means that the size doesn't change when you pull the flaps down. I've always had trouble finding a hat that fits. With most hats a 7.5 size fits but with inside flaps most are too tight flaps down. I assume that would be XL by some manufacturers. I bought the 2XL in this hat and it is not tight and is very comfortable on a 7&5/8" head. A Lifetime Hat!!!!
