Comforable, yet tough

Comments about Duluth Trading Work Pants - Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Jeans:

Pants work with me, they don't get in the way, nor hinder movement even though the material is heavy and strong. Doesn't hang up/snag on sharp objects due to it's "non-flapping", or no loose material hanging around. Work in a vineyard and all the associated machinery, and light construction.
Disappointed that the waist metal button pulled out. Size 42 seems a tad smaller than other "42's". Obvious solution: 44. Don't want to hassel with belts (one less thing to hang up on objects), so I tend to get work pants on the small side.

Comments about Duluth Trading Work Pants - Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Jeans:

Great Pant. zipper falls random 1" through the day. I am going to buy more. It is a extremely soft and flexiable material for being 13.5 oz cotton. D brand and C brand dont hold a candle to these jokers.

Comments about Duluth Trading Work Pants - Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Jeans:

I love these jeans except for one serious flaw: the zipper is too short to use for it's intended purpose. It binds, and cuts off when in use and creates a real mess. With jeans so well thought out in every other way, this is a real dissapointment.

I work in some extreme conditions. In the last two months I've been through windchill approaching -60F with blizzards and 70 mph winds blasting me with ice pellets. These pants fill the bill. They do a good job stopping wind and have plenty of storage space(where it counts) and a perfect clip on the right hip for hangin' my comm radio. Ordering a pair for casual use this week.

          Cons

          • Heavy wrinkling

          Best Uses

          • Brush briars
          • Deep woods

Comments about Duluth Trading Work Pants - Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Jeans:

My work demands walking through thick brush and briars. These pants fend off briars very well and appear to have the durability I'm looking for. The description on the product page indicates "Prewashed for broken-in softness". Although prewashed, they fall short of having what I would consider "broken-in softness".For the price, I was a tad disappointed to learn that the pants were made in [*].The inseam is about 1 inch longer than advertised.I still haven't figured out when to pull them from the dryer in order to minimize an excessively wrinkled appearance.Overall, in spite of the "cons", I am confident these pants will suit my purposes. I would recommend them to a friend after advising them what to expect.

These came as a Christmas gift. I wear them when I come home from the office to work around the homestead. I've been a Levi 501 man since junior high, but I may need to switch loyalties. My only complaint is that they seemed to shrink a little too much in the leg length on the first wash. I'll order my next pair an inch longer.

I get these as practical gifts for my two sons who really beat on their clothes at work. They really like the fit and feel. The added bonus is that they wash well.

                I recommend Duluth often.
