This is a perfect jacket for either jeans or dress, fall, winter or spring. I'm on the small side of size 42 and the 42 fits just right so some may need to go up a size. For me, as usual, the sleeves need to be shotened so the sleeves are true to length.
Overall a great addition to my wardrobe, I can see that I'll be getting alot of use from this garment.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and he LOVES it! It looks very classic on him. The fit was pretty true to size, though a tiny bit long in the arms. He loves Hemingway and all those very masculine writers of that era, and this is perfect for him. He looks handsome in it, the cut is nice, the fabric is a beautiful tweed, and the back gussets give a little shoulder room, but you can hardly tell that they're even there unless you're looking for them. I had opined for one of these jackets when they were offered under the Sportsman selection of items, but I missed the bus on that one. I then saw that the same jacket was offered under the new name, Men's Hemingway's Tweed Jacket , and I immediately let my wife know that I could seriously appreciate one of these for my birthday. Today, my birthday wish came true.

When I selected my size, I went with a closer selection to my actual chest size (just under a 44"), as I would be wearing this mostly with dress shirts and the like. Upon trying the jacket on out of the box, I believe the cut and sizing would allow for modest sweaters as well as slimmer dress or casual shirts.

The jacket will be a bit tight right out of the box, but once I flexed and moved around in it, it started to fit just right. The nature of the material will allow some give with larger undergarments, so select a true size like Duluth recommends, as if you size up you may be disappointed with the larger size.

The style of this jacket is just plain timeless. What appears to be real wood buttons (or REALLY good synthetic ones) adorn the jacket on the sleeves and front closures. The color & texture of the wool is soft and rugged at the same time, appealing to a wide audience. There aren't as many pockets as other Duluth outerwear, but they hold their own for the size of the garment. The inner liner is quite nice, and is pretty much there to make ingress and egress much easier. When I tried this jacket on, I was in a pair of jeans (Duluth work jeans, I might ad), and the jacket looks great! This is a really versatile jacket that will work with almost anything in your closet (I don't have any Hawaiian shirts, so mix at your own risk).

And the best thing, it's made right here in the USA! If memory serves correctly, this jacket is actually made in Kentucky, if it is the reincarnation of the Sportsman equivalent. Top notch quality throughout, and I'm proud to have this garment in my wardrobe.

Sorry for the long review, but I am wearing it while I write, living up to its prestigious namesake. If you're looking for a great semi-tailored jacket for almost all occasions, this is the one for you!
