I am a big guy (6'4" - 350lbs.) and I am a in-shop metal fabricator. When I am in my shop during the winter these are on under my "Double Front Loggers" and they keep me nice and cozy while I burn metal. They fit great and move with me!! I also wear them during my high country camping and fishing trips. They are lightweight, warm and they dry quickly!!!

Great for activity in cold weather. Wicks much better that traditional cotton thermals. Doesn't get itchy when temps rise. I like the fact that they are smooth so pants do not cling to them. They have held up very well.

My favorite long underwear is a red union suit that Duluth sold a few years ago, but is no longer available (hint!). I got the shirt that goes together with these pants, and the two are very comfortable, just the right thickness, and are very soft to wear. Length of arms and legs is just right, and the hole in the sleeve cuff, to put your thumb in when getting dressed is a neat touch- makes getting dressed easier, so the sleeves can't bunch up under your regular shirt or sweater. Haven't shrunk when I washed them, and I've worn them almost every other day for the past two weeks, since it is really cold. Great for underclothes and to wear in bed.

I bought these for my husband a marathon runner who trains outdoors in all weather. Being very thin he has issues if he is not running because he will get cold if he stops. He will often run ten miles with our dogs on a weekend. These long johns fill the bill. He can wear them with windpants in the cold or in extreme cold add a layer of tights. He also loves them for the comfort, no seams irritating him while he is moving. He uses them under pants when doing chores outside and stays comfortable. As picky as he is about his running clothing, I am thrilled that I got him something he loves.
