Ive been shaving everyday in the Navy for the last 20 yrs and never used a brush to latherup and decided I aways saw my Grandfather use an old-time shaving tool and thought what the heck. Well, I now can say that my shave is even closer and less painful than ever.

There was some shedding and the smell was pretty bad the first 4 to 5 times. I really like the wet and moist lather. It's so easy to lather your face with rich soap in a matter of seconds. I just like the old school way of shaving.

i have said goodbye to the grossly over-priced over hyped modern shaving gear and gone with the badger brush, a top quality having soap and the edwin jagger double edge safety razor. i get as good a shave as possible with gear that will last for years (not some over-priced cheap plastic junk). badger is the best fur for a brush because it absorbs water and is soft on the face. get your face warm with a towel or hot shower and lather up with hot water using a quality shaving soap and you will get a great shave.
