This is the first time I have used alum to stop bleeding. As I take aspirin, I tend to bleed freely and the alum went right to work. I used to use steptic pens but they hurt and left a white stain on the skin. The alum doesn't. No more little pieces of toilet tissue for me!

This works exactly as described. You wet it, apply it to a shaving cut or nick and the bleeding subsides. It also works to relieve irritation after shaving. It would be nice if it came with a dispenser or storage case.

I was pleasantly surprised, but I had a slight cut on my face that wouldnt stop bleeding and I applied the alum and it stopped immediately. I gave this to my husband, but I used it too.

works on nicks and cuts 1st time. looks like a block of quartz which is classy. Highly recommend to those who aren't perfect every time with a razor.
