      Comments about Bamboo Knife:

      Folks!

I'm a 55 year old knife guy, and this item is one of coolest I've had the privilege to acquire (in today's world of paranoid bureaucrats).

It is advertised as a garden tool... lol!! Sure, it will perform admirably, within specs, for that purpose.

After receiving mine in the mail, and due inspection, I could never bring myself to abuse such a work of art for garden chopping!

Mine sets with my prize cooking/slicing/chopping cutlery.

...'got one for my ol Pop too!

Dang! Duluth... you got some righteous folks hunt'n down "can't-live-without" items!!

The only thing "not so great" about this item is the folks who buy it to chop rope off'n their john-boat props... (aforementioned dudes: Please go to the local Army/Navy store for stuck-prop chop'n tools: surplus entrenching tools and bayonet's, are a better buy for bass boats.

Life is good for those whoe love the smell of a campfire.

      Merry Christmas to all!

      Tom

YES. I would recommend this to 10x10 friends!

      Comments about Bamboo Knife:

The kinife is sharp and easy to use. Often use the knife to shave or split small pieces of wood for kindling. Only downside is it needs a sheath.

        Comments about Bamboo Knife:

This tool makes clearing light or heavy brush an easier chore than using a standard sized machete in tight spaces. It has enough weight to cut off smaller branches and easily takes down taller/thicker brush. The blade is sharp and the back-strap is thick, so it will be useful for a good period of time

Great for light pruning in my olive grove and other trees. It is easy to use and sharpen, holds edge. The handle is a bit weird. I have already cut myself once, incompetent Ninjas beware.

                Comments about Bamboo Knife:

While this knife works well for various garden uses, to split bamboo and small pieces of wood, it is a perfectly designed blade. Thick enough to use a mallet to persuade the blade through a tough bit of bamboo stock, and just long enough to use as a handy cutting knife for small branches, etc. The paper-thin plastic sheath which comes with it is the only negative - it would be great to see a nice leather sheath offered as an option to protect this really sharp edge.

I took this blade out of the box and have cut piles of firewood, split small logs, trimmed back branches, and it still has a good enough edge for food preperation around the campfire. I've never needed to sharpen it!

I actually bought it for when I barbeque. Instead of having to haul out the axe or maul, this tool is great for splitting smaller chunks of wood with the help of a mallet or hammer.

                    Comments about Bamboo Knife:

It is one of the sharpest knives in my house.
After Christmas I had a large number of cardboard boxes and a small trash can. So I decided to recycle as much as possible, but the site required all the boxes to be broken down. I took my bambpoo knife sliced and diced the boxes into a large number of more easily managable flats, filled my van and went to the nearest recycle site. A quick dressing with a sharpening steel and it was as sharp as ever. Great product!
