These were not the ones I was looking for. These gloves feel very comfortable. However is not providing the protection that the other "DULUTH" gloves I ordered three years ago...those were double layered hide...comfortable and yet durable. Sure would like those instead.

I work as a marine engineer and have purchased many different gloves from this store... That being said, I purchased the previous incarnation of their leather gauntlets and they were AWESOME!! They were thick enough to do a quick handle of hot steam pipes or hot valves or for working on generators... They were also very tactile, so much so that I could take apart nuts and bolts with them on... But then they stopped selling them...So when I saw leather gauntlets again advertized for about the same price I jumped on them... Unfortunately they are not the same product! They have no durability.. I blew through them in less than a week! Not worth the [$] I spent on them... You are better off getting leather gardening gloves...

Note: I have long fingers, so always order gloves one size larger. I got these gloves to wear when working with my chain saw. The padding works great to dampen the vibrations.
