I'm a newspaper reporter who's used Fisher pens for years. When I saw these, I bought four of them because I prefer retractable pens to those with caps I can lose. ALL FOUR skipped badly from the first use and quit writing completely within a day or two. I've replaced the refills and they work fine now, but that effectively added $5 to the cost of each pen.

I have only used the pen for a few days but I can say that it is nice. It does write in many different surfaces and writes well but it needs to be more vertical then other pens I used. It is light and seem robust, being metal. I am a big guy though and I would have preferred if it was a little larger, 1-2mm only though. The finish is great but it is a little slippery which I did not expect and added to the size makes it a little harder for me to hold comfortably. I am being picky here though, but since it is a review I want to cover all points so other people know what to expect. Overall it is a great product for the price.

I do maintenance in a CNC machine shop, always have a pen in my pocket, these are tough enough not to break when leaning into the machines with almost all my wieght on it, yet still write on oily surfaces.

Finally a pen that works. I have spent $100 of dollars on pens that are supposed to be the best. Save your money and get one that works all the time. Although I would not recommend putting this in the wash I did by accident. Guess what. No leaks !!! and it still works fine.

I do crossword puzzles, and when you're lying down, ordinary pens go dry. A Sunday puzzle usually results in at least half-a-dozen "modern art masterpieces" from trying to get the pen to write. The Fisher Military Pen keeps writing at ANY angle and the slim design makes it easy to use. I'd recommend this pen to anyone that needs a pen to work every time!
