The story of Moleskine
A Moleskine planner is no ordinary planner. The brand is the heir of the legendary notebook used for centuries by the likes of Van Gogh, Picasso, Hemingway and Chatwin. (Now that's good company, if eccentric.) They used pocket-size journals just like this one for their sketches, ideas and musings.
After the original French manufacturer closed down in 1986, a Milanese publisher brought the notebook back to life under the name "Moleskine" (Chatwin's nickname for his beloved journals). The company has preserved the long tradition of journaling by creating top-quality books worthy of Van Gogh's or Hemingway's art.
