Every summer, well-heeled sportsmen from St. Paul, Milwaukee and Chicago arrived at Sawbill Lake via float plane – to fish, they said, but just as likely to relax at the bar or play the slots amid the moose and deer antlers, navaho rugs and over-stuffed chairs.
