The QuickFinder is a great concept but it has a poor design. This might be a great product to use with a Larger Pet but it is hard to use with our small dogs foot. The cutting blade is supposed to cut the nail by pushing it against the fixed blade but the fixed blade is too thick and makes it hard to cut the nail. The thick fixed blade also make a loud noise which is distressing to the pet when cutting the nail. It would be better if the handle would lock in place once the red light was on to allow the person performing the nail trimming procedure to concentrate on getting a green light more quickly. It is very difficult to concentrate on holding the handle, the pets toenail, the pet and visualizing the the green light almost all at the same time. I sure that there is a learning curve but you want to be able to use a product for the most part as soon as you get it. This would be a product to use with a well trained pet who is used to being groomed frequently. I have bought other nail trimmers but by far the guillotine style trimmer is superior to the other products for ease of trimming and time frame for getting the job done.

This trimmer did a poor job on my German Shorthair. Only trimmed, (or attempted), two nails before retuning the Quickfinder. These may work fine on small dogs. Duluth Trading refunded my purchase promptly without question.

I was hoping to find a foolproof way to trim my dog's nails, but this isn't it. I couldn't get it to locate the quick at all.

I was really anxious to get this product; however, I was disappointed. You can't use it outside because the lights do not show up, the lights are too quick, and it wasn't sharp enough to cut my yellow lab's nails.

By the time I get my dog ready to clip her nail, the light has blinked and changed colors so fast I am unsure of snipping! Maybe my dog is not calm enough for this item?

Always have had dogs and cats, but never a black dog with nails that you can't tell where the new growth starts--this clipper makes it easy to know how far to cut. Will be using it on my cats too!!

The light system is sensitive, but, I never hurt my dog cutting his nails. Like all pets, he does not like strange things and does not really like getting his nails trimmed. He did get used to it.

I have only used it on dogs. The lights are complicated to use. The main reason I don't like the product was that it doesn't cut well. I felt like I was going to break the plastic handles trying to cut through my dogs nails. I would not buy again.
