Our new scout storage room doors are heavy and not rigged to stay open. There are flabby rubber ones the church uses that are worthless as far as I am concerned. First use of this wedge worked perfect on the linoleum floor. Even tried on the hinge and worked great. Worth the price to insure the doors stay open when scouts are working get items in and out.

Works on all my doors - outside entry glass door, apartment metal door and laundry room door. So great as an extra hand when you are carrying big loads in or out and small enough to always have it in purse or pocket. Great gift for singles!

Due to the short length it does not sit fully on the hinge but hits the wood frame and if the door is pushed it could make an indent in the wood.

I recently got one of those "fire doors" for my apt. which closes automatically. Great unless you're trying to get in with groceries, or talking to the neighbor down the hall. I keep this on the table by the door so I can just grab it and stick in the jamb and not worry about the door closing. Really does the job, and quickly, too-no bending to try and get the doorstop in place.

I had seen this product in the catalog for years and wondered what I would ever use it for. We moved to Germany and now live in a top floor apartment with "bi-swing" windows. When the wind blew (often) though, we found they slammed open and shut with a resounding "bang" with each gust.

I ordered several of these wedges thinking their unique design would fit the bill and was not disappointed. Regardless of whether I open the window wide with its side hinges, or crack it from the top the wedge does it's duty and holds it solidly in position - banging problem solved immediately!

Overall, a great addition to your home tool kit - I'm sure I'll find additional uses for it down the road, but for now, they're ensuring I can maintain a cool breeze through the apartment without worrying about the windows banging and bothering me or the neighbors.
