This product was a Crhristmas present for the two grandkids. They had played with a similar collection at a relatives house. While the kids played with the set, they were cooperative, learned how to keep a raised road from falling down, and that they could make complicated parts fit together the wat they wanted.

First off, we've seen MUCH better prices for this exact set elsewhere.

Our boys (2 and 5) have had this for a year and it's been a hit. Comes with a nice amount of pieces and traines, etc. Very well made. I hear that it is compatible with Brio and Thomas brand trains as well, but we've not tried yet. They've been very content with what came with the set, they even call the red and blue engines James and Thomas, respectively.

The assembly allows changes for the child as they grow older. Was fine for a 2 year old, or will be fine as a 5 year old. There will be challeneges as the child matures and learns to create a more sophisticated track setup. Very well made. My grandson (almost 2 years)was fascinated with his from the beginning - we invision this gift will remain a favorite for years to come.
