Comments about Duluth Trading The Backyard Lumberjack:

We harvest wood for our masonry heater from our 20 acres of land. The book is very helpful for felling techniques, as well as storing and obtainable BTU's from different species.

Bought as a gift for my father, an avid backyard lumberjack and novice home sawmill operator. It was the one gift that was passed around to everyone at christmas diner.

Comments about Duluth Trading The Backyard Lumberjack:

Great book! Easy to read, very informative and kinda humorous as well. Makes the beginner or the novice lumberjack feel more confident. It covers all the right areas of felling, bucking, stacking and safety. I thought it was a great book. I've read it twice and will pass it along to my brothers and my dad. I'll even give it to my my grandson - he's only one right now though.
