One of my dogs digs or chews through everything. It took her almost 5 years to get through the last one. Compared to other pet beds, I consider this one almost indestructible. This is ONE GREAT PET BED.

Okay I have from six to fourteen dogs in the house depending on the weather and boarders. I have a large sofa with a poor type of upholstery on the all weather porch. I replaced the sofa cushion cover with this dog bed cover. It stopped the tears, etc. from a hundred pound dog awakened by the mail man, jumping up and barking out the window. These are washable and clean up wonderfully. This works better than anything I have tried over 40+ years with big dogs.

Although the material is tough, the construction of this product is terrible. I've returned two because numerous places along all of the seams came apart after the first washing. When the third one failed, Customer Service told me to throw it away when they sent the forth replacement--which also came apart after washing on the gentle cycle. The washing instructions say not to machine dry but everyone of the covers came out of the first wash with seams that frayed or material that disintegrated along the seams before drying. All of this notwithstanding, my bulldog won't even sleep on it because its so uncomfortable!

I purchased the first cover and was filling it with a memory foam mattress topper when my finger went through the side seam like a hot knife through butter. [...] the new cover is great. A quality inspector should have seen this at the manufacturer.

My bulldawg used to chew the corners and zippers out of his beds. The velcro closure is great and doesn't attract his attention. Now he ignores the chewing and simply sleeps or rests on it. It has taken him a while to get use to the "firehose" material. I love it!

I have a pit bull (who has split shin bones) who always rips her bed to shreds in a day. I ordered this bed to try and since she has not shredded this - i consider this a win. She has however chewed holes in the cover - but since she is so destructive this cover with a few holes in it is still very usuable. I'm happy this cover is lasting more than a day - even though the first hole happened the first day i was not home. She did immediately love this cover.

Bed (3ea) are used on porch for Labs. The youngest has chewed thru two of the three with no problem. Overall (excluding chewing) the beds are very satisfactory.

Usually there are a dozen or more dogs in residence here. Friends leave their dogs here when they go out of town. I have eighty acres and a pond plus they follow me on horseback or run with my husband, a marathoner.SO There are dirty dogs hitting the outide beds and less dirty dogs hitting the one in the house. I have lots of dog beds these outlast the others and stand up to vacuuming and washing. Even the cats like to sleep on them with a dog or two.

So far, this dog bed cover is holding up perfectly! This is the first one that our "power chewer" GSP has not destroyed! It resists stains and fits the bed like it was made for it. After buying and throwing away 5 dog beds, this may be the ideal solution! We highly recommend this cover.
