This seems like a classy rugged item. however you might as well stash a gps in the leather case. That is all that will fit in there. To fit the atlas that comes with the case into the pocket you have to fold it - very inconvenient. It just does not seem that the case design has any regards for what is meant to be stored inside. I had high hopes for this. Too bad.

This satchel with atlas goes with me in the saddlebags on my Harley and tucked by the driver's set in my Jeep Wrangler. The leather case is durable and has room for not only the atlas but also has a pocket for more detailed local maps. Basic, accurate, secure and reliable which is more than I can say for some high-tech electronic devices...at much less cost.

At first I thought this was too small as it was much smaller than previous atlas we wore out on our last trip, however, we found the smaller size much easier to handle in the vehicle and loved the spiral. The leather cover and strap are first class.
