I use this product to provide a direct beam of light when I work on my model airplanes. It eliminates shadows and focuses on the area that I am working on. I have one by my bedside for emergencies during the night.
I like that it is hands off, I put it on the bill of my cap and with my head movement I can direct the light where I need it. I highly recommend this to anyone that works with small items and to the Hobby enthusiast.

As a RN in the CV/Nuero operating rooms & years of working with gawky headlights, I was instantly taken with the ad in the DTC catalog and ordered one for my husband as a stocking stuffer. This light is as bright & at times brighter than the the fiber optic headlights I've seen surgeons use for years. This concept does have implications for development in the medical/surgical fields and I urge you to pursue these possibilities. I've already ordered another for myself. At the very least all hospitals should order these for back-up spot specific lighting in a power outage.

I like the feel and the hands free but it's not reliable. Batteies drain to fast and It should be rechargeable. For the price it's a throw away light.
