I alway had a problem with the battery operated finders. They worked but not nearly as good at this one. What a simple great idea. Your guys come up with the best stuff and this one is a must have for your tool bag.

I love having the right tool for the job, and as a plumber that means needing tools handy from all the trades, quickly leading to overstuffed tool boxes/kits, but this little guy hangs out in any spare corner you have in your tool box/kit and stays there untill you need it. You might tend toward thinking this thing is about as big as some mechanical finders, but it's only about 2 1/2" tall!! That's all you need to get the job done.

There are a few situations where you may indeed need a mechanical stud finder, but you can always go back to your truck and dig that bulky thing out of it's hinding spot, and hope the battries are good. Meanwhile, for all the other 9 times out of 10, this thing is ready to go right where you left it (magneticly speaking).

I had the older one and loved it, now it looks cooler and has a helpfull pointer and leveler too!! When I have to attach heat covers to the wall, a few light circular motions on the wall tell me right where the stud is. The magnets leave no doubt where a screw head is hiding. The headaches I used to get with beeping and flashing lights, trying to then mark where a stud was. With this tool I can just leave it on the wall (attached to the screw) and line up my spot that way, no marking!!

Again, real handy, right there (attached magneticly), ready to go. Not some speacial tool you lose track of by the time you need it.

A great purchase 4 yourself or 4 someone else, that's 4 sure!!

Like most who've reviewed this, it turns out simplicity delivers again. Don't waste your money on expensive electronic stud finders, I've done it, and wish I'd found this first. Faster, more accurate, and plain old simple. Only con (minor quibble), it grabs anything and everything steel in your bag, tool box, or work bench.

I've given this little stud finder to so many of my friends. When I pull it out of my tool bag and find a stud so simply, everyone immediately wishes they had one. So, I've given it to them on the spot as a little gift. My last 2 that I've given away were to my wife and son. Stocking stuffer, gift to the handyman, anyone in the decorating business will enjoy this simple and useful tool.

Most stud finders just beep and beep. It can be difficult to know if your stud finder is not reading properly or if there is actually a stud in the wall. Anyway this little stud finder makes no noise at all. It has very powerful magnets that locate nails or sheet rock screws. It works great. Also if you put it in the bottom of your tool belt, you might just pull up that drill bit that you lost.

As a voice and data cabling installer, this simple little device has saved me countless times (and headaches) by avoiding wall studs and unexpected conduits before plunging my drywall saw into an unfamiliar wall. I threw my electronic finder away - the simplest tools are often, indeed, the best!

I think I have tried every stud finder that has been put on the market, and I have always been let down! This thing is GREAT! Another reviewer mentioned that it doesn't detect wood studs, which is true, but it detects the nails in those studs without fail! It is so powerful that, while moving it across wall, it intantly stops on the nail and stays there! The little level on it can be turned for vertical or horizontal leveling! I have NEVER missed a stud since I bought this--EVER! There are no batteries, so it always works--it only needs the powerful magnets, and they are POWERFUL! I can't say enough great things about this thing! I will never buy any other stud finder again--and I won't need to! I was standing on a ladder and dropped the thing, and before it hit the ground, it attached itself to the metal on the ladder--that's how powerful this is. My only drawback to it is that it is so powerful that it sticks to anything metal that is close to it, which makes it hard to find sometimes! (powertool batteries, wrenches, anything metal). This drawback is soo small in comparison to the quality of accuracy and ease of use, that it still deserves a 5-star rating! I'm here buying more, because everyone I have shown this to is amazed at how well it works! You will NOT be disappointed!
