Excellent all-around blade for everyday carry. I have several knives, from automatics to utility - some costing hundreds more. However, this is the go-to knife for just about any task from slicing fruit to trimming wood. Cheap enough that I'm not worried about killing it, sharp enough to be useful. Resharpens easily. I don't leave home without it.

Little smaller than I expected, but that keeps it small in the pocket as well.

This was actually the second bought. Last years was given as gift and had to get another this year for the same individual.

This was a gift for my father who has just started collecting and it was on his list. He seemed very pleased with the knife when he got it out of package and looked it over.

This is a simple, useful knife. My husband carries one constantly and finds it more useful than any other pocket knife. We've given these as gifts and the recipients have reported only positives. It does needs sharpening from time to time, but it keeps a sharp edge for quite a while. It's not fancy, but it's easy and quite handy.

Excellent blade. Not so crazy about the handle but glad I bought it anyway. Reminds me of a razor blade boxcutter with more class.

You know that drawer in your kitchen where you keep an extra screwdriver, a small hammer, and a pair or pliers? This knife belongs in that drawer. It's a neat utility knife for small jobs like opening packages or cutting twine. For light duty, feels like it'll last forever. Very sharp blade - but no locking mechanism when open, so be careful.

flat profile and easy opening, closing makes it the perfect pocket blade. great steel keeps a razor edge. using both hands with off thumb against blade, pushing away, provides fine control. i lost my first one, had withdrawal, got a replacement right away

I'm in a dilemma.

I'm 54, and all my life I've carried the BEST.

But what really defines "the best".

To me, the best is what works for you when you need it: and wont get you arrested in NYC.

I think this little knife is so cool. It's almost like a straight razor, if you know how to hone a knife. I carry it regular now... not that I wont re-carry another favorite later.

It's touted as a "Japanese Carpenter's" knife. Whatever... I don't really know if there are any "Japanese" carpenter's left.

Be that what it may... If you are placing an order at Duluth, and just itching for an up-sell", THIS IS A COOL TOOL.

If you are into the mega-bucks you might be able to get for it an Ebay... forget it.

If you are into the Feng Shui of "less is more", by all means... _Go for it_!

It'll cut the shrink wrap off a pallet of mulch faster than any Company-issued box-cutter. ...and says everything about cutting the hide off a White-tail.

For what it is... I give it all the stars available!!!

I love mine. And it grows on me more everyday.

PS. The oriental runic-like glyphs pressed into the handle body: well worth the price. I only wish I knew what they mean...
