Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Field Coat:

          Great coat, warm.
Unfortunately when I washed it, the lining came apart.
This is the second coat, you replaced the first one.

Are you having a problem with this particular coat?

          Thanks

Great shell for outdoor work. Versatile, can be layered. Great waist draw string to keep wind at bay. Would be perfect with knit cuffs on the sleeves.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Field Coat:

I've watched this jacket for quite a while, but never went the distance and bought it. I finally pulled the trigger on a %20 off sale, and I'm glad I did. This jacket will last all of my life and then do someone else a great deal of good when they pick it up later. Right weight and good looks. I think that it is made of "firehose" fabric, so it is indestructible. The price is right, considering the quality, but at %20 off, it was a no brainer.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Field Coat:

Love the military M65 type coat and was excited about this purchase.

Im a Big guy (6'2" and 265lbs) and the 3xl was just fine. Take in waist with the draw cord and size was perfect, lots of places run small and/or shrink.

Problem started after the first and only wash. Coat smelled of chemicals or something, so into the wash it went. Followed label and all went fine till I noticed a seam had pulled apart just over the right top pocket and went looking around further and found the the liner was shredded where it is stitched to the bottom of jacket.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Field Coat:

I bought this for this Fall and Winter. I discovered during last year's brutal winter, that I really only had heavy parkas - nothing to layer in. I work in an office near a receiving area, so the area is usually always cold. I believe this coat will be great to work in, go to a dinner and a movie, or do weekly shopping in. I like the fact that the inner linning is not bulky. A nice flannel shirt under this coat should keep me comfortable on most occasions. For those colder days -- I also purchased the High Neck Infantry Sweater for additional layering. I am 6' 3" 250 lbs with swimmer's broad shoulders so I purchased 2XLT. Fits me perfect in the shoulders!!! I hard size fit for me. The sleeve size MAYBE is about 3/4" inch too long for me, but sure as hell beats being 3/4" short. With hands at my side the coat sleeve reaches about half way between wrists and knuckles - I can live with that just fine - when I reach my arms out, the sleeve is even with wrists - No riding half way about my arm like my present coats do. I guess those arm pit gussets really are doing their job. I found Duluth for the 1st time about a year ago. I have been impressed with everything I have purchased so far. I might pay more than what I have purchased in the past at the "box" stores and other major retailers, but I think the quality from Duluth is much higher and worth it.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Field Coat:

This jacket, like everything from Duluth, is just simply the best thing since sliced bread. With this I now have an entire Duluth outfit: No-polo shirt, ultimate fire hose work pants, buck naked underwear, wild boar mocks and this jacket. A costly but simply the best outfit; so it mirrors the services I provide.

I am a big man and like my clothes to be made to last. The construction of this coat is superior to anything I have owned previously. It looks good whether you are going out to the field or going into town. The pockets are generous, but not obnoxious. There is good freedom of movement (FOM). This is not an extreme cold weather coat, but with a solid shirt underneath, you will be comfortable down to freezing. You can't go wrong and the pricing is great.
