Heavier wools itch like mad, but we’ve worked hard to find smooth merino fibers that won’t irritate sensitive skin. Wearers agree this is some of the softest, warmest thermal long underwear around. Merino fibers are excellent insulators by nature: they trap heat yet expel moisture, because the New Zealand sheep they come from have to survive in cold and hot weather. Plus, merino is naturally antimicrobial and odor resistant (no stink, even when you're working up a sweat). Another bonus? It’s machine washable. Yes! Pants have an elastic waistband that lies flat under other layers, plus ribbed cuffs that won't ride up.

Women's Sizing Charts

Head: Measure around head, just above eyebrows. Convert inches to hat size using sizing chart.	Waist: Bend side to side to find natural waist. Measure around waist allowing the tape to sit comfortably.	For best results, take measurements over your undergarments. Use a soft tape measure, and allow it to sit comfortably.
Bust: Keeping tape parallel to the floor, measure fullest part of chest with arms relaxed down at sides.	Hips: Stand with feet together. Keep measuring tape parallel to the floor. Measure around the fullest part of seat.
Sleeve: Measure from center of back at neck to shoulder, over elbow and down to wrist.	Inseam: Find a pair of pants that fit you well.Lay them flat and measure from the crotch seam to bottom of the leg. If you are measuring 100% cotton pants that have been washed, add 1⁄2".

I love this underwear; it is the perfect weight for winters in Wisconsin and fits well under most of my pants. A previous pair I purchased got a run (after several years and a LOT of wear), so this is a replacement. Also bought a pair for my sister. I reccommend these to anyone who has to be outside in the cold. They make a real difference.

I work outside on automobiles and wanted something for chilly days without a lot of bulk. These were comfortable but a lot thinner than I expected since they were wool. These would be okay for 50 degree weather under some work pants but nothing cooler.

These are very light weight and are suitable as a base layer for outdoor activities that entail physical activity. They are a little big in the fit and the inseam is a little long. I had purchased them as my base layer for snowmobiling and they are just not heavy enough for that but they work fine for snowshoeing.
