this was a gift for my son and he really likes it. it has plenty of pockets for all his tools, yet it's not too bulky on the ladder-leaves your hands and tool belt free. i thought the price was good, too.

Difficult to assemble, but I like brain teasers. Make sure you have the picture with you. I don't think you could pack more items in this than is originally designed. I would highly recommend.

        Comments about DTPro Ladder Saddle:

I actually have an older version of this bag that doesn't have near as many pockets as this one but I love it. I don't regularly work from a ladder but when I do, I use it. I currently have it on my six foot ladder but wish I had one for all of my step ladders. It's really handy to load this bag up with whatever you think you'll need before heading up the ladder, which then reduces your trips up and down the ladder as you work.

I built a house recently and did a lot of the work myself and this ladder saddle was a great help, especially when I was working on the wiring; but also with the trim work and other trades as well.

For me, the only drawback to this bag is that it isn't all that handy when you have it loaded and need to carry your ladder horizontally; tools can fall out and it throws the ladder off balance of course. That's not really a problem with the bag but something to keep in mind if you decide to carry your ladder around with tools and materials packed up on the top of the ladder. Of course, the tools and material also add a lot of weight but again, that's not really an issue with the bag; it's more of a side affect of using the bag. I could see where that drawback could be an issue for a trade professional but it's not that big of a deal for the average DIY consumer and the benefits likely outweight the side affects for most people in general. I know that's true for me.

As a maintenance electrician this comes in handy on lighting jobs. In a building with 6,000 plus lighting fixtures, ballasts commonly go, so to have wirenuts, tape, and other items at hand make it quick work.

          Comments about DTPro Ladder Saddle:

The Ladder Saddle would be great for the average maintenance worker, not so much for new conduit work. I would load it up with my tools including my 18v hammer drill and material needed to hang conduit but the front pockets would roll forward at 30 to 40 degree angle instead of straight up and down. We fixed this by stiffening the front pocket back area with heavy duty card board every morning or a strong piece of veneer paneling once. The extra weight it loaded on top the 6 or 8 foot ladder would be about 50 pounds extra making a quick move near impossible. But for me it was a draw on convenience verse inconvenience, so for light work this gets 5 stars, but for my normal work of installing conduit it only gets a three star rating. Don't get me wrong I dragged that saddle with me to three international jobs before someone else need it worse than me and relieved me of it.
