I was working outside in 90 degree heat with high humidity in these shorts when all of a sudden it hit me, I wasn't that hot, and these shorts, though heavy duty were actually cool. Like I didn't have them on at all!! Great work shorts for the out of doors. I love them!!!

These shorts are made like clothes used to be made. They are functional, durable, and comfortable. After buying cheap shorts elsewhere that wore out in a year, I expect to have these for quite some time.

These shorts fit and look great! There are more than enough pockets and
they're REALY deep, which I truly appreciate (and I think other men would agree). The shorts wash extremely well, giving up stains easily (oil, grease,
whatever], and come out of the dryer absolutely ready to wear ( no kidding).
The expandable waist is very comfortable and adjusts to your size when necessary (after eating a heavy meal, for example) and will also fit you if you gain or lose a few pounds (I do it on a regular basis). These are the best shorts I have ever encountered and I plan to order more of them. Unfortunately, all my other short pants will just hang forlornly in my closet.
Ah, such is life.

My son is an electrician and I bought these not knowing what to choose; either these or the fire hose which has a heavier weight. He loves both pairs equally but tends to wear these more frequently. The price is high but well worth the purchase according to him.

These aren't as cool as the twills but they're great for rough use. A day of bushwhacking through woods left them dirty but unscarred. A great compromise when you need durability.

When I learned about the Fire Hose fabric I wanted to see if it is as good as proclaimed. I think that the answer might be YES.
I wanted something for casual everyday use and I finally ordered this pair.
The pants are well made but some of the features are sub-par.
I have enclosed a photograph that shows the depth of the side pockets at 8-inches. The "8-inch adjustable wrench" measures 7 3/4-inch and the blue pen is 6-inches. The hammer-holder strap, above the wrench is 2-inches, and the 1-inch belt loop is barely seen under the 14 on the yard-stick (see below). Are these dimensions adequate for you in your shop?
I ironed a crease in the front & back to improve the appearance of these shorts and so far the crease has through a couple of wearings. BUT they haven't been washed yet.
AS for the mystery belt loop: The 3rd loop back on both sides is 2-inches wide. Sewn on top of this is a 1-inch belt loop. If it's for hanging keys, it's over the back pocket. Seems weird.
As for the hammer handle: I think it might be too little for a regular hammer. I just didn't have one to try.
These shorts are only available in size 30 & 32 now so maybe this commentary is all just a waste of my time.

BOTTOM LINE = NO - for casual wear
MAYBE - for work.

Service and delivery comments:

I prefer to spend my Dollars on imported goods NOT made in China. Customer Service told me these were made in Macau, which is an independent province of China. When I saw the label said "China" i sent the long pants back and kept the shorts which I had worn.
