Great pants

I am a welder and I wear fire hose work pants everyday. If normal jeans don't hold up to what you through at them, then just try one pair. I am hooked, and I don't even own a pair of blue jeans anymore. Plus the knee pad pockets and pads are excellent, no more chaffing skin behind the knee because of straps rubbing up and down every time you stand.

    A couple of flaws

The pants are good work pants with plenty of room and pockets. Duluth sells Perry suspenders which I purchased with the pants. (1) The large belt loop in the very back of the pants did not allow the use of the suspenders until my wife, a great seamstress redesigned it to fit the suspenders. Why not use a double loop in back like in the front, they hold the suspenders right in place. (2) Wrangler jeans uses a 7 inch fly and Carhart uses an 8 inch fly - Duluth uses a 5 inch fly. Why? When nature calls and your outside and it's blowing cold you don't want a 5 inch fly.

Another fantastic product from Duluth. I'm a mechanic and unfortunately am on my knees quite a bit. The removable knee pads are my favorite feature. I'm 5'9" and the pads ride just below the knee while standing. A very well thought out design. There are many pockets which are at the perfect level for me to extend my hand clear to the bottom. The fabric is tough without being too abrasive on your skin. These people know how to make gear for people who actually work. Bravo.

I use them any job sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry, logging, landscape. Whenever I get down on my knees I say ahhh.
The size over the years have not been the same fit???
I like the strong velcro belt loops to hook my suspender in.

Similar to Fire Hose work pants, but shallow main pockets and had to cut tool loop off the sides as it was too thick, I don't understand the Velcro knees?

These pants last through anything. My son is a plumber and thinks these pants are the best. He is very hard on his clothes while working but these pants hold up, wash great and look good. He tells me he can bend without any problems in these pants and they are very comfortable.

At 65, my knees aren't able to withstand kneeling down on concrete and other hard surfaces. The knee pads fit me perfectly and after a few minutes, I forget they are even there.

I have had more than a dozen pair of Duluth cargo pants and I'm sorely disappointed in the shallow front pockets. Change, pocket knives and keys fall out way too easily. They should make the depth match the rest of their cargo pants! Their pants are too good to short change us on the pockets!
