I love this jacket. I tried lots of down parkers in search of warmth. With this jacket I came to the conclusion that nothing takes the place of good heavyweight construction. No wind gets through; it's warm, durable, provides freedom of movement, and looks great.

Bought this because I dont like wearing hats. The hood seals up nice. My first use was in Chicago it was 12 degrees out and wind made the chill factor about -10, I kept toasty warm. The really best part of this jacket is the long or extended material on back protected wind and cold from blowing up your back as you reach or move the gossetts on sleeves really allow full movement

I gave this coat to my son who does farm and construction work. His other coat had tears from being caught on machinery. He likes the hood and shorter length and says it keeps him warm. It is not as stiff as his previous coat.

This coat is rugged proof. I cut granite and the material is tough and does'nt tear. Great coat to work in,it gives me room to move. I live in cold weather and it cuts the wind. Great coat for working in love the hood. [...] When one man started wearing the coat the rest wanted one. Now we are all wearing one.

I live in Oklahoma where we get a lot of wind, and it all goes right up the back of this jacket. It would be perfect if it was a little longer -- it doesn't quite cover my jean pockets -- but its biggest problem is there's no drawstring to cinch up the bottom, so cold air goes straight up between you shoulder blades.

On the plus side, the jacket is thoughtfully made with attention to movement. You can reach for anything without the sleeve sliding up your arm, or feeling like the jacket binds. The FOM stuff is very well done.

I really want to like this jacket, but it's just not good for cold and windy, and we get a lot of that where I am.

I bought this for my dad, in lieu of getting the flannel lined action jacket which was sold out. My husband has that one, and he loves it. Anyway, when the fleece lined one arrived, my husband wished he had THAT one. The blue color is nice, and we were amazed at the quality fabrics & construction, and both my husband and father liked the multitude of pockets. Overall, these are high quality jackets for the price. I hope they wear well through time. My dad works on a farm, and my husband works in heavy construction, so these coats have a lot to go through. They have washed well so far. I totally recommend purchasing!!
