Greatest overalls ever made-great material/fit/looks!!! Make sure you buy the knee pads-you will not be sorry!!! they fit in special pockets on the knees of the pants-my son was so exited-like a little boy-I bought them for him for his 55th birthday-he really was so excited-he tried them on-and left them on thru his whole birthday party!!!!

I wear bib overalls because of bone graft sites around my hips makes wearing belts and regular pants difficult and painful. I've tried all makes of bib overalls and this fire hose bib is simply the best on the market-hands down. Well made, great design, plenty 'o pockets, perfect fit (with two waist buttons for adjustment) and a decent color selection. If I had a complaint it's that there's not enough color selections or a black-tie-and-tails model available , but that's nitpicking. Maybe there's a fault but I haven't found one yet. I'll be ordering more.

              Achilles straps

              By Jonathan

              Pros

              • Plenty of pockets
              • Thick durable material

              Cons

              • Front Zipper Is Small
              • Straps Really Suck

              Best Uses

Can't give 0 stars. The strap material is a total design failure. Like everybody else, I bought the overalls for the front chest cover protection. The straps however stretch so much (maybe due to the weight of the fire hose cloth) that the chest protection becomes a belly protector and kangaroo pouch. In a machine shop this allows for hot chips to collect inside and cause burns and ruin shirts. I have more burn marks inside than outside. For welding, the outer leather jacket prevents this from happening thank goodness. I came onto the site to see if things have changed but alas it has not. I do not see the need for the strap to be elastic when you have adjustment slides. Why not make the straps out of firehose material or at least give that as an option? I am actually looking to purchase more overalls however I will not purchase any of these.

The most comfortable bibs I own I BOUGHT all 3 colors , I work 12 hour days I own a 28 year old landscape company , we also install irrigation mostly commercial . They hold pins and heavy materials in side pockets with the shoulder straps support very supportive.
Only two minor cons : straps slip down slightly throughout day I need to cinch up a couple times daily all three pair do this ( strap locks would be good). I use knee pads (on our knees a lot) very comfortable BUT when you kneel the pad pockets tend two twist in towards inner knees and you have to pull up slightly on leg areas of bibs as you kneel for pads to be in center of your knees ( no problem if you have nothing in your hands) I would like a light oz for summer months , dry on the fly would be great to but for fall spring winter in California these are great bibs.

I work for a railroad company. I wear these overalls everyday in the spring, fall, and winter. The work I do changes from one day to the next. I can be kneeing down on sharp rock to climbing poles doing line work. These overalls have lasted so far and with all the pockets i can carry all my tools. If there was one thing i would change it would be to add reflectors so i wouldn't have to wear a vest over top of them.
If you are even remotely thinking about getting these just do it. They are truly amazing.

I have a closet full of Carharts. Seriously...at least 2 dozen that I wear EVERY day. Home, work and even church every Sunday. I will be donating my Carharts to a local worthy cause and replace them with more Duluth overalls.

I work at a power plant keeping the conveyor belt gear from building up coal dust. This is done primarily by hosing them down with a fire hose. I need something both durable and water resistant. These bids are great! When they get soaked the material is so tight that they do not cling like other bibs or work pants I have experienced. You don't feel wet and they dry quickly. If there is a little breeze they dry in no time. Unlike jeans or duck which hold water forever. I can leave them in my locker and they are ready to wear the next day.
The only question to be answered is whether the water resistance process lasts for a prolonged period,

I wear Ultimate Fire Hose pants almost daily. I would wear the bibs more often, except that the straps loose their adjustment and slip/lengthen. That's pretty annoying. I'll probably trade them in for the pants. If that issue were fixed, I'd be a big fan.
