I bought this over a year ago so I think I can make an honest review. This has benn the best apron I have owned. I've been doing woodworking for over 30 years and have used many different types. The quick snap buckle is wat better than trying to tie strings together.

I would recommend this to anyone without hesitation.

There are ample pockets for all kinds of hand tools. I make custom knives and this is my go to apron in my shop. cleans easily too. I am going to get another to use as my range apron to seperate different calibers by pocket. Will be perfect for my gumsmitthing hobby.
I could buy 5 ov them but my wife might duct tape me into one of them and drop me off of thre bay bridge.
PERFECT ACCESSORY FOR YOUR SHOP TOO.

Comments about Shop Apron - Improved Fire Hose Bib Apron:

This apron has been just about perfect. My husband has been helping our son build his own home. He needed to replace his old one because the strap tore on it. The strap design on this apron is new and comfortable, and the webbing seems sturdy enough. He did suggest that padding over the shoulders would be even better. My husband is of average height, and found the length to be almost perfect. The pockets are just below his waist-- very comfortable when reaching for nails or screws. He has had no trouble with nails or screws poking through the mesh bottoms. His main complaint is the width of the pencil pockets. They are too snug for easy out and back in.

Comments about Shop Apron - Improved Fire Hose Bib Apron:

I'm pretty sure most of these 5 star reviews are for the old un-improved version.

The "improved" mesh pockets are a fatal flaw. You can't put anything small, like finish nails, in there. Screws, calipers, screwdrivers, awls, etc hang through the mesh and poke you in the groin when you bend and could scratch finishes. When working in a customers house (or your own) the dust sifts out constantly and leaves a trail wherever you go.

I had five of the un-improved version with solid pockets over the past decade and they were great. Comfortable, durable, plenty of storage, keeps crud off your clothes. When they stop doing the stupid mesh thing I'll buy five more for the next decade.

Son, 4'3" 70 lbs, 10 years, loves this apron. He works in the shop with his dad and the adjustability of this apron allows for it to fit him or expand to fit a man. It currently wraps around him and touches in the back, but does not overlap. Length is calf length on him. Perfect. Highly recommend.

Comments about Shop Apron - Improved Fire Hose Bib Apron:

I thought the idea of mesh bottom pockets to let the dust fall out was a good one. Unfortunately, not only does the dust fall out but so do all the of nails and screws I like to keep in the large front pockets. I've tried everything from plastic baggies to cardboard lining the bottom. Nothing works to hold the nails from dropping out. Let me know when this failed design flaw is resolved and I'll order a new apron.

The apron seemed well made, with lots of pockets and holders. Have not used it yet as projects we are working on do not require the use of multiple tools.

I needed something to protect my cloth and carry tools. This is all of that and more. It is the best apron I have ever used, no matter what the job.

I would add that I have been an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer for over 25 years, so I believe I know quality when I see it. This is the real thing.
