Great for Tall & Lean Guys

Bought this flannel shirt for my father for his birthday. He is 6" tall and lean with long arms and a long torso (size large fits well). He really liked the fit of the shirt because it wasn't wide, boxy and short like other brands. This is a very nice trim fit shirt. Sleeves could have been a tad longer. Pairs well with the trim fit longtail t-shirt. Well made flannel shirt. Plan to buy one for my son for Christmas.

Worth purchasing more in the future

          Best Uses

          • Snowmobiling

I have both the full cut and now trim cut shirts. While I'm slightly overweight, the trim cut does have plenty of room. It will work well while snowmobiling.

            Not really trim fit

            Pros

            • Great fabric

            Cons

            • Too Big In Chestwaist

            Best Uses

I just ordered two of these and really like the quality of the fabric and the patterns and that the sleeves are long enough to account for shrinkage.

Maybe I'm just really scrawny (5'10" 160lbs 39" chest) but there is enough extra fabric in the chest/waist for me to pull both sides of the button line to the opposite sides of me (I figure about and extra 10 or 12 inches of fabric). This is after washing the shirts in hot water so I'm not sure how these can be "trim fit."

The shirt looks fin untucked but the parachute in the back when it's tucked in looks ridiculous.

              Great fitting Flannels

I went to great lengths to make sure that the size that I ordered would fit. Duluth gave me all the dimensions and I compared them to another flannel shirt that I owned and knew how it fit.

Unlike many shirts, Duluths are true sizes. If you are a large size, their large shirts fit perfect. You don't need to get an extra large just to fit you in the shoulders, chest and sleeves. Their trim cut, large shirts were a perfect fit for me.

                    • Winter Casual Dress Up

The shirt itself is great. The plaid and the fabric are really nice. HOWEVER, the buttons were falling off before this shirt even hit the wash. I contacted Duluth AFTER I had sewn all loose and missing buttons back on (I had to use the two spares from the inside seam, which seemed to be cemented in ironically enough!). They advised me to send the shirt back, which I was not going to do as I had already done the work of reinforcing all the buttons. I was surprised the customer service at Duluth was so poor. After some cajoling the offered me the exact same promotion that was going on by catalog to make up for the problem. I was not happy.

Nice sturdy but comfortable flannel. Looks nice enough to wear to my work (tech/casual) or out for the night, but still strong enough to work in.

These shirts are really attractive and comfortable. I especially like the extra length in the arms because my main gripe with flannel shirts is that the sleeves shrink with laundering. I also like the features that results in extra give when working. Unfortunately, if you want to wear this shirt for casual day at the office or in a more formal setting, it's a pain to iron.

                        "trim fit" is a joke

I bought this for my boyfriend who is a trim muscular man, 6'2" 180lbs who always wears a size large. He likes his clothes to not be baggy and extra wide. I thought the "trim fit" would work. I could tell as soon as I held it up its about 6" wider than all of his shirts. What's up with Deluth's sizing? Sending it back without even showing him.
