My girlfriend bought me these boots for when my mucks weren't suitable for the jobsite. I absolutely love them. They are the best boots I have ever owned, and they are something most work boots aren't - COMFORTABLE. My toes and ankles are well-protected. I love Duluth's guarantees on their products. I will definitely tell the other guys at work about these boots. Great job, Duluth!

I have been wearing work boots for over thirty years..these are the most comfortable ever. The jury is still out on their durability( cause they are new). So give me a call in eight months.

I have a wide foot so finding a work boot that fits is hard but when these boots came I was extremely pleased. The boots fit great are very comfortable I can wear them every day, and do.

I was tired of the same boots I had worn for years and I wanted to try something new. I saw these in an email and I thought why not. I was paying the same money for boots that I knew would only last a year so I am giving these boots a chance. They seem to be well constructed, comfortable boots. The composite toe does not pinch my toes. I hope they last as long or longer then my last boots, and I am interested to see how they hold up to a New England winter. I wear them everyday at work and also for work around the house. No sore feet at the end of the day. I hope I don't need to edit this review in the future, I hope these are my new boots going forward.

I bought these as work boots as I'm in landscaping. It took a little longer than normal to break them in. But now they feel great! I'm a bigger guy and I've head boots break and fall apart on me before they were broken in, but these are standing up to all the pressure I give them.

Comfortable right out of the box

                    • Not Exactly A Perfect Fit

I'm not a tradesman or laborer to any degree, just somebody who's put my feet through sculpture, welding, and the surprise stuff you get into as a home owner. For years I've worn work boots like these for support and protection, because almost no matter what you walk into you know you'll walk out with your toes intact.

Up til I decided to try this boot, I was a big fan of the classic 6" from the big retailer of outdoor wear whose name I'm not supposed to mention. I expected to get another pair when the ones I'd bought from them 12 years ago finally began disintegrating. (To give you an idea of how attached I'd become, both lug soles had come loose in the middle, one to the point I'd had to cut it off to keep it from flapping, and the leather on one toe had worn down to the composite cap.)

Then gift cards from Duluth made me want to give these a shot. It will be a while before I can speak to their durability, but I thought I could at least write about how comfortable they are after wearing them a lot over the weekend. For one thing, like Michael said, no break-in seems required. When the mailman delivered them on Saturday, I'd already been working around the house for several hours in my old boots and was way past ready to toss them in the trash. I literally sat down by the mailbox and pulled them on so I could go on working.

I finished up my day of loading up old furniture in my s.u.v., plus some yard work, and then that evening pulled them back on to go to a local swap meet. (After that, friends wanted to go out for drinks, so I can say that I wore these right into a trendy Dallas pub and didn't feel out of place.) I usually find out the next day when I've done something my body doesn't approve of, but my feet felt fine in the morning and so I put the boots back on for several hours of working outside, which involved breaking up and shoveling heavy clay soil in the yard.

The only reason I didn't give them all the stars was because I wish they offered half-sizes. I have narrow feet and so I specified the size a little smaller than I might have otherwise. On the other hand, since I'm not yet feeling any after-effects, I suppose it didn't really matter. Also, I have "flat feet" and normally wear orthotics inside my work boots, but because I expected these to feel tight, I left my supports out. The fact that this had no effect also seems to speak well of the support built into Duluth's boot.

I gave these to my son as he was starting a new job. Within a couple of days he was bragging to me and coworkers at the jobsite at how great the boots are.

                          Metal detector friendly.

                          • No Steel Shank

                          Cons

                            Best Uses

These are the first Duluth boots I have worn and they are comfortable right out of the box, I'm sure they will get better when they break-in. Some boots I have worn required me to wear them a few hours at a time to break them in. After a 12hr shift my feet are still ok in these boots.

I am not required to wear steel toe at work but got these composite toed boots because I don't want to be the next OSHA recordable and I do have to go through metal detectors where I work. So not having to take my boots off to go though them was an absolute must. Duluth doesn't mention anything about the shank but I'm happy to report that its not steel.

Overall construction/quality is what I would expect from Duluth considering their other products that I own. Value wise they appear to be on par with other brands.

The boot pull on the back of the boot is actually a loop and big enough to put your finger in. I know, seems stilly, but some brands put a little tab that you can hardly grip or a little loop only big enough for my girlfriends finger.

First impression is good on these boots, I'll update as a wear them out.
