Great lunch box to last me a decade

        Pros:
This is a nice product. I had been looking for a lunch box to replace an old one that I had that was unable to hold all my food for the day. I finally found this and tried to find something else comparable in the category and could not find another lunch box. After having it shipped to my house, I was SURPRISED to see the actual size of this thing! I love it! I'm able to hold all my food plus anything else I need for the day.

I particularly like the construction of this newer model of the lunch box (yeah, it's changed over the years...), the side walls of the cold compartment are very sturdy and don't "sink" like previous models. It seems like there is some hard plastic walls to make sure that they don't sag from the weight of the top compartment.

The shoulder strap is also made of very very good material and craftsmanship. It's to support the weight of glass containers holding my food and a water bottle hanging off of it (The third D-ring on the box is handy for a small carabiner clip to hold on to my water bottle). The handles on the lunch box are also nice and sturdy. I think the handles are a bit thick for my hands, but they sure are soft and don't dig into your hands when your lunch box is filled to the brim.

The lunch box is easy to clean and is made of very tough material. This lunch box does not go to extreme places like some of the other users, but it fits well under my desk at work. I enjoy its durability and its ability to retain the cold from the ice packs I purchased afterwards (more on that later).

        Cons:
The zippers are no longer YKK zippers. This is a bummer, but they seem to still be sturdy. I'll check back in a year or so to let everyone know how they still work. They are still a bit stiff, but you can loosen them up. For me, I went to the grocery store and purchased some "Parafin Wax" and rubbed it on all the zippers. It did the trick and seems to work a little easier now. I imagine that I will have to re-lubricate them again in the future, but that is something that I can deal with.

The side pockets are so darn small! I don't know what I can fit inside of them. I wish they could expand a little bit, especially the zippered pocket. I haven't been able to use them and am curious to hear what others have used them for.

For the price, I wish it came with an ice pack. I ended up buying a set of two ice packs for the box from a large online retailer. I'm glad I got two of them, because the lunch box is soooo big that one pack can't keep the entire thing cool. Each ice pack has the dimensions 0.75" x 7" x 3.9". I end up putting one ice pack in the ice pack holder, and the other underneath one of my food items.

        Overall:
Great lunch box and perfect for me. I'm glad I saw some other pictures online to get an idea of how much this thing could hold. I also enjoy the 1200-denier material that is used for insulation. My ice packs are still cool at the end of the day when I get home. It's nice to be able to go on a day trip with my lady and bring enough food for the two of us. I'm quite happy with my first purchase from Duluth Trading Company.

This is a very durable yet somewhat flexible insulated lunch box and carry all. Both the upper and lower compartments are well insulated, so you could use the bottom for several cold drinks, maybe a six pack, and keep your food cold in the top half.
I keep my misc. stuff, checkbook Tylenol etc. (man purse stuff) in the top and a sandwich and my full size IPad in the bottom. The zippers on this are built to last forever, as is the rest of it. This lunchbox will get you to retirement, and then some!

I've bought three of these lunch boxes for gifts and they were really appreciated. My son is in the logging business, he was super impressed with this lunch box. My husband carries his lunch and everything else in it including his phone. I highly recommend this for a gift or for yourself!

Only improvement I would suggest is changing the handles to a Velcro closure.
