It's too big and the zippers are always hard to use.

      COMMENTS:

Honestly, I was looking for a job-site lunch box that sits in my passenger seat and would be convenient to open and eat out of while driving between jobs or errands. It soon proved to me that it was awkward to open and close. The top would never stay open unless it was in a totally open/top pushed to the most open position because the ice was to heavy in the lid part to stay open. It would either close shut or have to be totally open, in which case the lunch box would fall to the floor.

Good way to haul my food.

Im a railroader, as such I am away from home a lot.
My wife sends me away with 2 days of meals and snacks. (Its cheaper and better than fast food)
I have no problem fitting everything inside my Karls lunch box.
I like having my food in a insulated container, with a cooler freeze pack secured within the mesh lining my food stays cool.
If I need to warm it up, I just put my Rubbermaid container in the locomotive engine compartment for half an hour.
This lunch box is well built with lots of room. The stitching is solid, the D rings are solid, the snap hooks and swivels are solid.
I expect this lunch box will last a long time.

                COMMENTS:

Karl's Lunch Box is PERFECT for me. Whether I'm working 8 hours or 16 hours, this bad boy holds everything I need, and keeps it cold. It easily holds a full day's worth of meals and drinks, as well as a newspaper or magazine, some utensils, and a basic first aid pouch in one of the end pockets. On road trips, we pack it with can drinks, juice boxes, and lots of snacks. No offense to Louie, but I'm glad I went with the bigger box.

When I was reading the reviews before I bought it, I noticed the most common complaint was with the zippers. So far I haven't had any problems whatsoever with them. When I'm not using the top compartment, it will collapse nearly flat, and I've noticed that whenever I've done that, some of the fabric does bunch up around the bottom zipper. That being said, I would give this about a 3 on a 1-10 difficulty scale at the worst, and in no way would this have discouraged me from getting it. It's typical Duluth high quality, and a great product.
