Back when I started out as a tradesman, buying a pair of the standard wedge soled moc toe contractor boots was a right of passage. I haven't stopped wearing them since that first day on the job. As of late, I have found that the quality of my favorite brand has declined, the insoles don't last and the leather is stiff and a strange orange color. So, I went out and found a boot maker in Wisconsin to make our Duluth Trading boots. They still make work boots with the highest grade of leather and top of the line removable insoles that keep your feet comfortable all day. Our boots even have a Vibram® sole, just like my first pair.

I ordered a pair of 11.5 W and they were a little to roomy so I sent them back and got the 11W with no issues, these are outstanding, well made boots! I love them to work in and drive my machinery.

In 1995 my left ankle was crushed during a construction accident.
Unable to return to construction I turned to Home Inspection.
15 years and over 4000 inspections later I developed "Plantar Fasciitis" and was unable to walk.
This boot has given me the support and comfort to continue my work.

I looked at some really nice RedWing boots and then saw these in the Duluth catalogue. The price point caused me to say "why not give these a try"? Boy am I glad I did. These are great boots...and the soles give your knees a break when you have them on for a long day. And as I break them in, I like them more and more.

I own quite of few pair of high end boots. Lucceshe, Danner, etc. You won't be dissapointed with these. They are well stitched, comfortable, quality made boots with soft but thick leather. I have only two critiques. First, they fit good but not perfect. Length is true to size, width is true to size, but they tend to fit a bit tight across to top of my foot. I got em wet with hot water in the bathtub and they broke in right away. The only other thing that makes them less than absolutely perfect is the grabbers for the laces. I feel like they should be made a little tougher for this type of boot. Buy these things. You'll love them.

As a construction worker (framing, concrete set up) I demand a lot from my foot wear. This is my second pair of these boots and I look forward to the incredible service and longevity that my first pair provided. In addition to the durabilty of these boots, they wear wonderfully right out of the box. I wear a size 14 and never worry about the fit or comfort when I am ordering from Duluth Trading.
