This shoes are perfect for my boyfriends job, he is a building inspector and the soul of the shoe must be flat as not to get cut on wood or wire and any other constrution materials. This is his second pair, they look nice too with khakis. And it makes me happy that he is shoes that support his back.

A work shoe occaisionally, mostly causal. The Laces need to be made longer as they won't stay tied. Have to tie a surgons square knot to prevent untying. Does not leave enough left to make normal loops that will stayed tied, aggravating! Seems to me to be an easy fix, others have had tthe same complaint, fix it!

The shoes quality is outstanding why do we have have to put up w/such an annoying detail, really ticks me off every time I tie them. Same problem w/ my first pair.

I love these shoes!

Two caveats - the sizing ran large. I am between a ten and a half and eleven - for my first pair of these I went with the ten and a half - way too big. I never wear a ten in any brand of shoes ever. I returned the ten and a half and ordered the ten, for this shoe the ten fit perfectly. And I am surprised at the early signs of wear on the heel.

B-u-t I love them and would buy them again, And they have a small American flag on the tongue and I really like that they're american made. This is the only low-cut American made work shoe I could find and I looked.

The main reason I bought the Contractor Oxfords is that they're made in The USA. That's important to me. I am impressed with the quality of construction and the level of comfort. The only downside is they're a little heavy but based on the materials used and the level of reinforcement that's to be expected. I've worn them on several business trips and they're easy to get on and off at the airport. I've had a couple of TSA agents ask where I got them and one compliment about USA - made. I've also received compliments about the style and appearance from fellow travelers. The best feature so far has been total comfort on a numer of six-plus hour flights. I also wear them working on the property. The sole design is such that mud/dirt are easy to rinse out of the tread with a hosing. If these ever wear out I'd for sure buy another pair. I'm a big person and normally pretty tough on shoes. For the price the quality and comfort are great and these shoes should last forever. Goodyear construction also allows for resolving. Another nice longevity feature.

A very well made shoe. The fit feels right and it is comfortable wearing. This is a very heavy shoe because of the thickness of the sole. But because of the thickness I don't think the sole will wear out any time soon!

I plan on using these for everyday wear through this next summer while helping to maintain a campground in a State Park in rocky, lava strewn country. Preliminary use indicates these will be excellent for this work. These feel good on my feet and more imprtantly, will protect them!

This is the third pair of these fine shoes that I have owned. They are made in the USA and have leather lining- a rarity these days. I switched from another well known brand an I have been happy ever since. I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day as a cabinetmaker.

Great understated pair of shoes. the leather is top quality, they are heavier duty than i thought they'd be, but they are breaking in nicely. the traction is NOT super good on ice/snow, so be aware of that. sizing for me was perfect, i ordered my normal size that i wear.

All in all a really great american made shoe. i plan to wear these for years, and they can be re-soled. These shoes are about half the price of some big name american made brands.
