    Overpriced for what you get

    Cons

    • Overpriced
    • Small for stated size

I bought 2 pair of gloves from you in early 2012. They were discounted, and I got them for a great price. I gave one pair to my son, but unfortunately, lost the other pair. I looked at your web site to replace them. Unfortunately, they were no longer available. I bought the most expensive and top rated winter gloves that you sell. I was disappointed to find that what I got was no where near as good as what you sold before. The large size, which is what I take, was too small for me. It also seemed that they would not be nearly as warm as the others. I know you have to make business dicisions, but it's hard to figure why you stopped offering a great pair of gloves.
That said, I need to tell you that I have been very happy with all of the other products that I have purchased from you. I will continue to peruse your catalog for things I need.
FYI - I am writing this more for your information, not your customers.

We just received a pair of Yellow Knife Guantlet Gloves yesterday and we are beyond satisfied! These gloves are heavy duty for sure! They are nice and thick but not so thick that they are bulky and stiff! They are pliable, soft but rugged great all around gloves. My husband wore them this morning on his drive up through the mountains to work and he was able to drive no problem and his hands were nice and warm even in the freeing conditions. He is in for a surprise when he gets home too; it has started snowing and I am going to let him try out his new gloves and "take care" of shoveling today!!! I can see him wearing these gloves all of the time and truth be told, they are so soft that my toddler was "playing" with them yesterday after they arrived in the mail (a true testament to their quality that they held up to our son---destroyer of everything!!!)

                Good gloves

                By Phil

                Pros

                • Easy to get off
                • Great Closure Pulls

                Cons

                • Not as warm as hoped

                Best Uses

I mainly use these around work and so far I like them. I agree with some of the other reviews I read that these aren't as warm as the description leads you to believe. However they are better than the more expensive BlackDiamond snow gloves I have. A inexpensive fleece liner should be enough for when it gets really cold. For reference, it has be 5-7 F the last few days and for the most part my hands have been fine. A little cool in the fingers but I haven't been outside that much.

My favorite features are the cinch closures that easily release when you want them too. The gauntlet style is nice as well, helps keep in heat and keep out snow.

Not sure how these will hold up in the long term yet. But for the price I think they are good and would get them again.

                      • Working Outdoors

I bought these specifically for riding the Harley. They are very warm but it takes exceptional warmth to work on a bike at 65 MPH in winter. These keep the air out very well but my fingertips will still get cold after about 40-50 miles if it's below 45F outside. I typically just run around town or to work on about 10 mile at a time trips when it's cold anyway. None of the gloves specifically made for this work any better so these are about as good as they get, durable Duluth quality and more flexible than most other gloves in this weight/warmth range no matter what the claimed use which is key on a motorcycle for safety/control at a better than average price. Not perfect for biking in winter but none seem to be but I'm not crazy enough about it to ride when it gets really cold here anyway. If someone made a pair warm enough they'd be too bulky to be flexible or be battery operated for the most part anyway. Great deal at the price paid but I did get them on sale.

I use these gloves to shovel my 200ft driveway in northern Michigan. We can get 12+ inches in a single storm. I have the kind of job where you can't call in sick, and I count on these gloves to keep my hands warm and dry while I dig out the truck. These gloves are better than similar gloves that I paid more than double for. Well worth the money.

Used as driving gloves, I actually had to take them off because they were too hot. Never had that happen before. The long cuffs will make working in the snow easier due to the sleeve extensions. No more snow can creep up my sleeves when cleaning cars off and such.
