Great Motorcycle Gloves

By Simon

from Greensboro, NC

Pros

  • LIKE BUTTER

Cons

  • Very Minor Blemish

Best Uses

  • General Wear
  • Motorcycling
  • Too Nice For Work Gloves

Cold weather motorcycling is the acid test for gloves. I learned long ago that deer and elk skin make the perfect motorcycle gloves because of their flexibility, suppleness, and ability to stand up to weather. I've had custom-made gloves from specialty companies that cost as much as $100 and these are every bit as nice. Mine arrived with a very slight blemish, a tiny abrasion spot on the pad of one finger, but for the price, I decided not to send them back and try them out instead. My favorite pair of bike gloves comes from a motorcycle specialty company that makes well-known riding suits and jackets that all the magazine editors wear. They are known for their very fine products and these gloves come in a very close second. These were not made specifically for motorcycling, like my other gloves were, but they came with fleece liners, which would have cost extra from that other company. I will be wearing these a lot. They are soft as butter, which means they will form-fit well as I wear them, and I like the dark brown color, too. Hope Duluth continues to offer these. So far, every product I have purchased from Duluth has exceeded my expectations. I notice they are now doing TV commercials, which means the company is growing and doing better. I hope success does not spoil them. So far, they're doing a great job.

    Tough and Comfortable Gloves

    By Rick

    from Spokane, WA area

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • breathable
    • Comfortable
    • Good grip
    • Tough
    • Versitile

    Cons

    • Not waterproof

    Best Uses

    • driving
    • General work
    • Motorcycle riding

These are top-notch tough and comfortable gloves. Supple and comfortable, they come with liners making them decent three or four season gloves. They aren't waterproof, so some proofing will be needed if you plan on working with them in wet weather. Frictional grip is good. I use them primarily for lifting and setting up gear, but also use them for general use and motorcycle riding. Motorcycle gloves almost identical to these are sold at a premium at specialtiy sites; so these are a great deal, and very versatile too. Recommend you get them while you can. Thank you Duluth.

    Pros

    • Fit is excellent

    Cons

      Best Uses

I love the feel of deersskin, but almost always it is available only only in the natural (or blond) color. Having a pair of comfortable deerskin gloves in a rich walnut brown is a pleasent alternative.

          Fits like a glove

These gloves are good-looking enough to show off, well-made, and the leather is supple and soft, so you can actually use your fingers while keeping your hands warm. Liner is comfortable and warm. I'm going to get attached to 'em and hope they last a long time.

Purchased for my father that has severe loss of hand control and swelling so that he can get his fingers inside without working around elastic stitching.
