Neoprene Gloves

About Me Comfort-oriented, Practical

Pros

  • Dry
  • Good Grip
  • Lightweight
  • Warm

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Cold Weather

    COMMENTS:

I use these gloves at work. I work at a power plant and my hands freeze during the winter months while doing wash down of the system. My hands stay warm and dry with these gloves. I do put a pair of thin rubber gloves over them to protect against the rough edges of the valves. I didn't want to compromise the gloves after finally getting something that kept my hands warm.

            COMMENTS:

Okay, I'm not like most of you. I am the head custodian/santitation guy at a huge food dstribution warehouse. My job requires me to be in the freezer (0 deg. F down to -20 deg. F) for two hours at a time, as I assist and supervise my workers.
These gloves are absolutely watertight, and have a HUGE amount of grip, but provide NO insulation against the temps I work in.
I used the guide, and decided I needed a large pair, but knowing that tight clothing does not insulate as well, so I bought an XL pair, and they are almost too tight.
Altogether, I will keep these for cool weather canoing and paddling, fishing, etc. For severe winter cold, or for the fresser, these just won't do it, at all.
