BEST SUSPENDERS EVER - W.C. READY,

    By Gregor

    from S. Jordan, Utah

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • 1st Class Materials
    • Best Boldest Colors
    • Easiest Ever On Off
    • Wide Comfort Style

    Cons

      Best Uses

I love suspenders because I'm a little on the chubby (OK, FAT) side, so I like the fact my pants stay up, and comfortably! I am a musician, and I actually lost my pants at a Christmas party last year...during a lead break. Also, bathroom stops need to be quick, and I no longer need a bandmate to dress me after. Glad I discovered these!

        Helps keep my pants up!

Easy to put on, helps keep my pants up at work with weight in my pants. I work in a jail, and must have a heavy radio with me at all times. I keep the radio on my pants hammer loop, plus what ever I have in my other pockets. With just a belt my pants are always coming down. I have concerns about the plastic fittings, but so far so good!

Perry Suspenders for fire hose pants

              from Lutsen, MN

              Pros

                Cons

                • Won't Fit On Fire Hose
                • Won't Work On Fire Hose

                Best Uses

These will not work on the firehose pants with the big 3 inch belt loop in the back. You will have to get the side suspenders, clip on or button suspenders. The back belt loop cannot be larger than 1/2".

They are elastic so now, the grand keds what to snap my suspenders? If they were made of heavy canvas, leather, or some other durable material, they would be better for me.

thin belts for dress pants and military web belts won't stay in the suspender's hooks: jean/work belts are a good match. can be applied one handed. For me these are a necessity for the fire hose (heavy)jeans. I am 5'11, 41-42 inch waist: and could use another inch of length.

I was aware when I bought them that there were comments about the clips falling off the belt. I thought the answer was a more substantial belt. My belt is a tactical use belt and it is a very substantial belt. I had difficulty once they were clipped to my belt getting my pants on before the clips could fall off again. My belt is thick enough that I have to actually pry the clips open to get them on the belt. Despite this fact, the clips still fell off resulting in a bit of a challenge getting my pants on and the suspenders over my shoulders with the clips in place. I have written the product development team with an illustration of how a simple design change would solve this problem but I have not heard back from them about my design change proposal.

Once they were installed and my pants were up with the suspenders over my shoulders they worked great! I have tactical equipment hanging from my belt that pulled down on my pants requiring me to constantly be pulling them up throughout the day. These suspenders completely eliminated the problem by keeping my pants up where I want them to be and holding them in place despite the weight of my equipment hanging from my belt.

I have reservations about recommending them to anyone because of the design problem with the clips. I would recommend them but only if the person I am recommending them to is willing to put up with the design flaw and if they can get past that struggle, the suspenders do work. If the problem of the clips falling off the belt was eliminated completely I would change my 3 star rating to a 5 star.
