The Leather Belt

By Hanktheforth

from Chaplin, CT

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Durable
  • Great For Guitars

Cons

  • none

Best Uses

  • Save Your Guitar

I'm a singer/songer writer. I play, most of the time, standing up with my guitar hanging in front or me. This new belt keeps me from scratching the hell out of the back of the guitar.

Too much flap, not enough tuck

By GeoOT

Pros

  • A Perfectly Nice Belt
  • As advertised

Cons

  • Belt Tail Comes Out
  • Keeper Is Too Loose
  • Not Tsa Safe

Best Uses

I had some hope that there would be anon-metallic buckle that would help speed me through airport lines. Not the case with this belt. It is a nice looking belt for general wear but I would not trust it to "protect" a car that I was working on. The keeper for the tab that covers the buckle isn't tight enough to keep it from flipping out with only slight provocation. In addition, there is no edging (e.g. a rolled and sewn edge) on the cover tab to keep it from sliding out of the way if you are up against a car.

      Great design improvement

      Pros

      • Secure Fastener

      Cons

        Best Uses

This design corrects a problem with the previous version, which had a little post that engaged the hole and would pop loose under any significant tension.

Intriguing belt design with 1 minor flaw

          By Bill

          from Seabrook, TX

          Verified Buyer

          Pros

          • Buckle design
          • Pliable soft leather

          Cons

          • Outer belt looseness

          Best Uses

The soft pliability of this belt and its covered buckle design set it apart from the thick stiff velcro mechanic's belt and its difficult-to-hook predecessor. Can be cinched up fine with conventional buckle. The outer covering belt strap however always loosens and doesn't stay tucked into the belt's loop. Very frustrating. I solved the problem (DIY) by gluing some velcro on the strap end and main belt, which ensures it doesn't creep out and dangle. Now its my favorite belt for car shows & car work where a buckle may damage paint or chrome.

Work in produce at [@]. This belt keeps buckle from snagging on shelves and displays.

I use this belt every day, and it is a hero belt. It doesn't twist or get pulled into folding at all, the cover keeps the buckle from scratching, or pinching your belly.

The only issues I have with it, is the buckle itself is pretty small, the belt isn't quite as wide as I thought it was going to be, and the retention loop is rather loose, allowing the cover strap to back out a bit, but overall is a great choice.
