Men's Hemp Newsboy Cap

I've been looking for a lightweight, breathable hat for summertime in New Orleans and this one was the first I could find without going north to look for one. I got the pale navy and it looks great.

At first this cap seemed too light weight, but with each wearing its weight rapidly approaches "Just Right" for SoCal spring, summer and early fall weather. Breathes well enough to keep the old noggin at just the right temp all day and all night, sun or no sun.

This cap has an almost see-through, yet super-tough weave. performs well in hot, humid weather.

Bought for my husband. He likes it for casul wear. Great summer hat.

My senior year in high school some of us were given newsboy style hats in the school colors to identify us as "rally boys". I've had a propensity for the style ever since so I was delighted to discover them at Duluth trading. I bought the dark blue and tan ones and enjoyed wearing them until my wife washed them and they shrunk. I have replaced them with the hemp hat and couldn't be more pleased. It is so light weight that I sometimes forget I have it on ("why are you wearing your hat in the house?"). It doesn't make my head sweat like ball caps do, and, believe it or not, I have received unsolicited compliments on my "cool" hat, If your dermatologist has told you to wear a hat to protect your bald head from the sun then this is the hat for you. You'll have to ask your accountant if its a deductible medical expense.
